On the other side of the mirror. Chapt.1

Annie had never liked the rains. She felt low when it rained all day. Grey clouds and stormy winds made her feel more depressed. She hated darkness.. especially blues.. It was raining that day and Annie was sitting in her balcony sipping coffee. Sky was painted red and grey.. trees were struggling in the wind as if trying to defend themselves from being thrashed by the wind . It was month of September.. Annie had come to India on a student exchange program from Germany. There were not many students like her in the college and she also liked being to herself usually. She was watching the storm silently when suddenly a crackling sound hit her ears.. it came from her right. And thunder had struck a tree, not very far away from where she was sitting. The sound of thunder was very loud.. loud enough to rip ones eardrums. Humidity had just reached it's peak when it started to raining again. She was all alone in her apartment. But that was nothing new to her, as she had always been alone. Her one bedroom hall flat had no space for anyone else but herself. There was someone long back with whom she liked sharing her space. They used to be a happy couple. J.J was an architect, tall handsome and ambitious. Annie .. innocent, beautiful, a petite young girl in her 19. She had known nothing much in the world by then. She used to spin her life around J.J. Too much sweetness had brought bitterness to their relations. Annie was never able to move on after she had broken up with J.J.
She rose from where she was sitting and leaned on the railing of her balcony. It wasn't raining much that day.. It was little more than a drizzle. Annie started playing with her thoughts. What if she jumps from her balcony?? she started fantasizing about "What she will love to see from people around her to act like?". She might end up in an ICU and be in coma. J.J will come to see her in the hospital.. he will be crying.. kneeling beside her bed and pleading "Please come back.. I love you so much.".. News of her death will go viral.. on social media..even on T.V. Her haters will be so jealous of her death that they even will mourn her death. J.J will take an oath not to marry anyone else in his entire life. Laura will suffer a massive heartbreak when J.J will show his true self.
When Annie started pondering about her afterdeath, aftermath she couldn't just stop. She felt so good thinking about all these that she grew more and more attracted to the thought of dying. She stepped on the balcony's railing and leaned on the bar again. She bent down to see, water puddling down on the sidewalk. There was no one to be seen in the lane.. whole neighborhood looked deserted. Annie's hair got wet in the rain, while she was leaning. From outside it looked as if in a monochrome black and white picture, a kid hung upside down the balcony railing with his feet invisible. Suddenly she started feeling dizzy. Annie tried to shake her off the thoughts and pull up herself back. Speed of wind increased.. dust started rising from the footpath.. spiraling upwards. dry leaves and garbage rose up in the air with dust... suddenly the whole view from the balcony was chocked with dust.. Annie kept trying to get back but her lean frame couldn't stand the wind for long. Then suddenly something hit her head .. perhaps a stone.. and she lost control. ..
